1832 in the 41st year of her age
Also of Grace the wife of William
Spencer and mother of the
above Isaac Spencer who lies
on the north side of this place
she died September 26th 1829
aged 64 years
My soul the fruits of dying friends survey;
Expose the vain of life, weigh life and death;
Give death his eulogy, thy fear subdue;
And labour that first palm of noble minds
A manly scorn of terror from the tomb
Death has no dread but what frail life imparts
Nor life true joy but what kind death improves.

I've lost my wife and bosom friend
Whom God's pleas'd to call to her end
The loss was great whom I did adore
Longer she liv'd I lov'd her the more
A good wife and faithful friend
Liv'd in peace and in peace did end
