Dear Sir,
I have your wire & letter re the taking over
of the Slag & Coal shipments at Winteringham Wharf & I am
arranging accordingly.
Perhaps you will now give instructions to your staff
to draw & shunt our private sidings at Scunthorpe - the rates
already quoted allow for this - so that I can move the Locomotives
to Winteringham for work on the Whitton branch now in course of
construction. I understand Wm Meyer of this Company or the
Light Rly Co., is in correspondence with you as regards the haulage
of the Yorks Iron Co’s Ironstone out of their mines & until
I receive further notice I shall continue to draw their mines as your
engines at present are not allowed to do so
