1862 Winteringham Harvest Home
The General Harvest Home Festival will take place in this parish, on Wednesday, the 1st
October.
DIVINE SERVICE
Will be performed in the Church at 11 30 o'clock, when the Parishioners are invited to assemble to offer up their united praises and thanksgivings to Almighty God, for
the blessings of a fine and bountiful Harvest. A PROCESSION will be formed near the Post Office at 11 o'clock, when the Clergy and Farmers will accompany their Labourers and Work People to
Church.
The sermon
Will be preached by
REV. ALBERT WILDE. M. A.
Rector of Louth
And, as a thank offering, a collection will be made on behalf of the Hull
Infirmary.
DINNER
Will be on the Table at 1 o'clock, in ME. EDWARD BURKILL'S Barn. Admittance by Ticket to be shewn at the door.
A GENERAL TEA DRINKING
For the women will
take place in the National School-Room at 4 o'clock in the Afternoon. Admittance by Tickets.
The Tickets will admit the bearers to the Evening Amusements.
In the Evening A LECTURE
Will
be delivered in the above-mentioned Barn, on NORWAY, SWEDEN, and DENMARK, with Illustrations, by
Sir Charles Anderson, Bart.,
There will also be Instrumental and Vocal Music, concluding with the
National Anthem.
The Lecture to commence at 7 30; Doors will be opened at 7.
Admission at the door to the Lecture, for those not having Tickets. Non-parishioners 1s., Parishioners 6d.
