The remarkable - and huge - Wesleyan Chapel in West End was the subject
of this post card believed to have been taken in the 1930s.
Elim House - the old Police House, built we believe in 1912 - is seen
beyond the Chapel, and the Chapel schoolroom is hidden behind the tree.
Unlike earlier postcards which featured children or adults posing for
the photographer, this one is devoid of any living creature .. or is it? Is that a cat in the wall drainage hole? (below)
