The above picture shows an old folks party taken in the old National School in the early 1950's
The two people pulling the cracker are George Bratton and Mrs. Beatrice Viner {she was one of the Burkill family and she lived in Spring
House and later moved to Spring Cottage}. The man standing by George Bratton is Frank Potts, from the shop. They were the eldest man and woman in the village at that time. George lived well into his 90's.
